Manufacturing Intelligence
Governed metrics, deterministic computation, and traceable provenance for every production calculation.
The Foundation of Every EKAS Capability
Manufacturing Intelligence is the analytical core of EKAS. It transforms raw production events from your MES, ERP, and shop floor systems into governed, auditable metrics that drive operational decisions.
Every metric calculation in EKAS — OEE, downtime tracking, First Pass Yield, capacity utilization — is executed through versioned SQL logic with full data provenance. No estimation. No interpolation. No black box.

From Raw Production Data to Governed Metrics
Data ingestion from MES/ERP
Production events, quality records, downtime logs, and cost data flow from your existing systems into the EKAS data model.
Governed SQL executes calculation
Versioned metric definitions compute performance, quality, and cost metrics using deterministic logic — no estimation or black box calculation.
Results return with provenance
Every metric includes the SQL hash, catalog version, data source, record count, and timestamp for full auditability.
Governed Metrics You Can Trust
What EKAS Computes and What It Does Not
EKAS computes 91 governed metrics across the ISA-95 hierarchy using confirmed production data. All OEE calculations follow ISO 22400-2 ratio-of-sums methodology — the mathematically correct approach for fleets with differing machine utilisation. Average-of-averages is explicitly prohibited and enforced at the calculation layer.
EKAS does not execute production scheduling, manage work orders, write back to source systems, or make autonomous decisions. Scheduling remains in your MES. Work orders remain in your CMMS. EKAS reads, analyses, and surfaces intelligence. Decisions remain with your team.
